Rental scams are common in Amsterdam, and the people searching hardest are often the easiest targets. Screening takes that risk off your plate.

The landlord is real
We confirm who the landlord is and that they may rent out the room. [What exactly is checked, for example identity and ownership.]
The room exists and matches
Price, size and what is included match the listing. [How this is checked, for example a visit or video.]
Registration is possible
We ask every landlord whether you can register at the address, and tell you up front.
The contract is fair
We check every clause before you sign and explain anything that is unclear.
